If you're looking for someone who's going to sit quietly and nod for 50 minutes, I'm probably not the right fit. I believe therapy should be an active, collaborative process where we work together to understand what's going on, identify patterns, and create meaningful change.
I laugh with my clients. I challenge my clients. I celebrate wins with my clients. And sometimes I help them notice patterns they've been stuck in for years without realizing it.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I'll absolutely hold space for difficult emotions, but I'm also going to help you connect the dots, build practical tools, and make changes outside of session.
You don't need to impress me, have everything figured out, or know exactly where to start. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what's going on, talk about the things you may not feel comfortable discussing anywhere else, and feel genuinely understood.
You'll get a therapist who's human, engaged, and invested in helping you move toward the life you want, not someone hiding behind clinical jargon or pretending to have all the answers.
My hope is that you leave sessions with greater clarity, a deeper understanding of yourself, and the confidence to take meaningful steps forward.

One of the things that sets my practice apart is that I don't try to specialize in everything. So rather than offering a long list of specialties, I've intentionally focused my training and continuing education on a handful of areas: trauma, grief, burnout, and life transitions.
Over the years, I've invested significant time, energy, and resources into developing expertise in these areas because I believe clients deserve a therapist who has gone beyond basic graduate school training and continues to deepen their knowledge in the concerns they treat most often.
I also believe that therapy works best when the person sitting across from you feels human. So you don't need to show up perfectly. You don't need to know exactly what to say. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and work through whatever you're carrying without judgment.
For clients seeking additional privacy, flexibility, or longer sessions, I also offer out-of-network services. This can be especially helpful for healthcare professionals, helping professionals, and individuals with demanding or unpredictable schedules who may benefit from extended sessions and greater confidentiality

There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer.
Some people come to therapy for support around a specific issue or life transition, while others come after longer-term “stuff” to address deeper patterns, trauma, or ongoing challenges.
We'll regularly check in about your goals and make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.
-
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other.
We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you've been struggling with, and what you'd like to see change. We'll also discuss your history, current concerns, and any questions you may have about the therapy process.
There's no pressure to share everything right away. We move at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you.
-
That's okay!
I don't work with everyone because the right therapeutic relationship should feel like a good fit for both of us. Therapy works best when there's a genuine sense of connection, trust, and alignment.
If you decide that another therapist might be a better match, I fully support that. My goal isn't to convince you to stay, it's to help you find the support that's right for you.
And if I think someone else may be better suited to help with what you're looking for, I'll be honest about that too. My priority is helping you get the support that's right for you, even if that isn't with me.
If needed, I'm happy to provide referrals and resources to help you find a therapist who may be a better fit.
-
The consultation is simply a chance for us to connect and see if working together feels like a good fit.
We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of the process, and any questions you have about my approach. I'll also share a little more about how I work and what therapy might look like moving forward.
There's no pressure and no obligation to schedule. My goal is to help you determine whether I might be the right therapist for you.
We can also go over any insurance or OON questions you have!

Rather than trying to specialize in everything, I've intentionally focused my practice on a handful of areas:
• Trauma & PTSD
• Grief & Loss
• Burnout & Compassion Fatigue
• Life TransitionsI've invested significant time, training, and continuing education into these areas because I believe clients deserve a therapist who has developed expertise in the concerns they treat most often.
Many of my clients are helping professionals, healthcare workers, caregivers, and high achievers who are used to carrying a lot on their own.

The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy.
If you're looking for a therapist who is warm, direct, collaborative, and casual, we may be a good fit.
I believe in creating a space where you feel supported and understood, while also helping you identify patterns, build practical tools, and make meaningful changes in your life.
The consultation call is a great opportunity for both of us to determine whether working together feels aligned.

Trauma therapy focuses on understanding how difficult or overwhelming experiences continue to impact your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily life.
Trauma isn't always a single event. Sometimes it's the result of repeated experiences, chronic stress, difficult relationships, caregiving responsibilities, loss, or environments where you didn't consistently feel safe, supported, or understood.
Together, we'll work to process those experiences, build coping skills, and help you feel more grounded, connected, and in control of your life.
I offer CPT, EMDR, and DBT as modalities depending on your needs, goals and preferences.
-
Grief therapy provides support for navigating loss in all of its forms.
While many people associate grief with the death of a loved one, grief can also show up after the loss of a relationship, career, identity, dream, health condition, or significant life chapter.
Grief isn't something we "get over." Instead, therapy can help you process the loss, make meaning of your experience, and learn how to carry it in a way that feels more manageable.
-
Extended sessions may be helpful if you feel like you're just getting started when a traditional therapy session ends, have a demanding schedule that makes weekly sessions difficult, or are working through complex trauma that benefits from additional time and space.
Many healthcare professionals, helping professionals, and individuals with unpredictable schedules appreciate the flexibility that extended sessions provide.
We'll discuss whether extended sessions make sense for your goals and needs.
-
Walk-and-talk therapy combines traditional therapy with movement outdoors.
Instead of meeting in an office or virtually, we meet in an agreed-upon outdoor location and have our session while walking.
Some people find that movement helps them feel more relaxed, think more clearly, and have conversations that feel more natural than sitting face-to-face.
Walk-and-talk therapy isn't the right fit for everyone, but it can be a great option for those who enjoy being outdoors and feel comfortable discussing personal topics while walking.
-
That's completely okay.
Many of my clients are starting therapy for the first time.
You don't need to know exactly what to say, where to start, or how therapy works. My role is to help guide the process, answer your questions, and create a space where you feel comfortable showing up as yourself.
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
-
Not at all. Many of my clients reach out because they're functioning well on the outside but feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. Therapy isn't only for moments of crisis, it's a space for growth, healing, self-understanding, and making meaningful changes before things reach a breaking point (or putting the pieces back together after).
-
Many people come to therapy frustrated because they understand their patterns intellectually but still find themselves repeating them. Insight is important, but lasting change often requires understanding the experiences, beliefs, emotions, and nervous system responses that keep those patterns in place. Therapy can help bridge the gap between knowing and doing.
-
Yes. Many people have talked about what happened but still feel affected by it. Trauma therapy isn't just about retelling your story. It's about understanding how those experiences continue to impact your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily life so that healing can occur on a deeper level.
-
That's completely okay. Most people don't walk into therapy with a perfectly organized explanation of what's wrong. You don't need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. We'll figure that out together.
-
Crying is welcome here! So is anger, frustration, uncertainty, numbness, and everything in between. You don't need to protect me from your emotions or hold everything together during our sessions.
-
That's okay too. Not everyone expresses emotions through tears. Some people feel disconnected from their emotions, some process things more cognitively, and some cry it out. All are welcome
-
Many of the people I work with are helpers, caregivers, healthcare professionals, first responders, and high achievers. They're used to being the person everyone else relies on. My goal is to provide a space where you don't have to be the strong one all the time, and to help you set boundaries so you can take care of yourself outside of session as well
-
My role isn't to make decisions for you. Instead, I'll help you gain clarity, explore options, identify patterns, and make choices that align with your values and goals. Sometimes I'll challenge you, sometimes I'll offer perspective. But ultimately, you're the expert on your life
-
Absolutely! In fact, many of my clients work in helping professions. Being the person who supports others doesn't mean you should have to carry everything alone. Therapy can be a place where you don't have to be "on" for anyone else.
-
Then we won't. Therapy moves at your pace. Building safety and trust is the most important part of the process, and there's no requirement to dive into painful experiences before you're ready.
